About Andrew

Andrew Johns was born in Vancouver, BC and grew up in Port Alberni, BC, alongside his caring parents and three siblings. After graduating from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business, Andrew kickstarted his career in the financial services industry.

Over the past 20+ years, Andrew has cultivated a diverse and strong financial advisory team, known as the Cash Management Group. In 2018, Andrew led his team to join Canaccord Genuity Corp. Currently, the Cash Management Group is one of Canada’s top advisory teams with over $5 Billion in Assets Under Management (AUM). In the past few years, Andrew has stepped into multiple other industries, pioneering the growth of new companies, namely HoneyBadger Bitcoin and HoneyBadger Charging. Andrew has also built a local media and news platform called Coastal Front, with a popular podcast featuring many esteemed and diverse guests.

Currently, Andrew is a proud employer of over 40 people across several different business ventures. He strongly believes in helping his team members achieve their full potential, providing various education and growth opportunities to explore what they are passionate about.

Andrew feels strongly about being involved in his community, supporting several local grassroots charities, with a particular focus on children's education and women's well-being. A testament to his dedication, Andrew and his wife Crystal launched Fresh Plate in 2021, an initiative aimed at providing healthy, well-balanced breakfast meals to elementary school students in Vancouver, BC.

In addition to his professional commitments, Andrew is a devoted husband and father of three. His unwavering passion for hockey has persisted; while he hasn’t made it onto the Vancouver Canucks yet, he finds incredible joy in helping coach his children’s hockey teams.
